Chapter Seven

ROSEMARY

The sun is beginning to lower, and with it the temperature begins to drop. “Are you okay? Getting cold?” Alexi asks.

“Yeah. I’m really sorry. Again.”

“Hold still, I’m going to come down.”

“I’m not climbing down this tree.” I warn him.

“No. Me neither. I’m just coming down one branch to sit with you. Our body heat can at least come each other warm.”

The pines shake as Alexi moves. The dog below starts barking up at us again. He doesn’t trust Alexi’s judgement on this either. He’s bark is more than likely telling him to sit his ass down before he breaks his neck. My heart is racing because we’re up so high and the branches could break or he could lose his footing. It didn’t seem like we climbed that many steps on the ladder. Then again, I wasn’t exactly in sound mind when I did it. Pure adrenaline and fear got up this tree, and it’s going to keep there.

Any fear of this branch breaking is gone when I feel the warmth of Alexi’s body against mine. Comfort washes over me. I sink into his embrace.

“You’re so warm.” I sigh. “You feel incredible.”

He does. His body is larger than mine, solid, yet soft and comfortable. He wraps around me perfectly. But then he speaks.

“Just call me Google. Because I’m everything you’ve been searching for.”

Then, for whatever reason, I turn my head and kiss him. He stiffens beneath my lips. Holding his breath and not moving a muscle. I part my lips enough to suck his top one. Alexi’s body presses against mine more firmly, caging me tightly against the tree. His tongue swipes out in search of mine. I eagerly greet his with mine, and his goes deeper into my mouth. Not sure if it’s a rush from being up this high, physically on the edge, or all the pent-up energy and banter, but this kiss isn’t like one I’ve ever had before. It’s amazing.

His cock presses against my ass. I want him to press it harder against me. I’m greedy and want to feel all of him, but fear of plummeting to my death keeps me from turning around and sitting on his lap. Alexi pants out my name, “Rosemary.”

“Are we about to have sex in a tree?” I breathe against him. The sun is beginning to set and it’s borderline romantic. Only borderline because this isn’t comfortable.

The dog begins barking causing alarm bells to ring through my lusty haze. “What if there’s a wolf down there? Is he barking at a coyote? A bear? Bears climb trees, you know.”

Alexi places his palm over my mouth. “Shush. You hear that?”

Relief washes over me. It’s voices. Human voices are approaching.

“Mary! Mary!”

Alexi looks down. “Are you Mary?”

“You said she was a sheep dog, right?”

“Looks like it, why?”

I shrug. “Well, Mary had a little lamb.
